Eryone – Dichromatic Filament (2 colors simultaneously)
Eryone once again has expanded thier product line with some incredibly cool products. We purchased both the matte and shiny sample packs of thier dichromatic filaments. Unlike color transitioning filament, where the color changes as you progress through the spool. Dichromatic has both colors extruding at the same time. This allows for some pretty cool color variations on prints of any size.
There is only one catch with this type of filament. The colors will always be extruded on the same size of the nozzle. This can be a good thing in most cases. However if you are looking for more random colors, then making some variations in the orientation that the filament goes into the extruder is necessary.
This specialty filament comes in two varioations at the moment, matte and silk finishes. They both perform well, but the matte does seem to be a bit more temperamental. Both Eryone silk and matte products have an amazing finish.
Just like most, you want to make sure that you properly dry your filament. This will help prevent any stringing and bed adhesion issues. My studio is not the driest during the summer months, so I find that I am swapping out spools in the filament dryers on a regular basis. I definately recommend storing them with a decent desicate pack. I use desicate containers that I printed, they have a screw top and fit in the center of spools perfectly. They are a great way to consolidate tons of little desicate packs. You will see my prints below have minimal stringing, but did require drying.
