Refund & Return Policy
This policy explains how returns, replacements, and refunds work for purchases from Made by Rice 3D Studio. Because we sell both in-house 3D printed items and made-to-order wearables fulfilled by Printful, return eligibility depends on the product type.
Returns at a Glance
- 3D Printed Items: We handle issues for damaged/defective/incorrect items reported within 7 days of delivery.
- Wearables (Printful): We handle misprints/damage/defects reported within 7 days of delivery. Size/color preference changes are not eligible.
- Filament: Returns accepted only if unopened and unused.
- Custom/Made-to-Order: Not eligible for return (unless damaged/defective/incorrect).
3D Printed Products
We build many items in-house using 3D printing and hand-finishing. Because of that, small surface variations (such as layer lines or minor texture differences) are normal and do not count as defects.
Eligible for Replacement or Refund
Contact us within 7 days of delivery if your item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect. After review, we will provide a replacement or refund, depending on the situation.

- Custom or personalized items (custom colors, scales, configurations)

Wearables & Apparel (Printful)
Our wearables are produced on demand through Printful. Because each apparel item is made specifically for your order, we can only accept returns for confirmed production issues.
Eligible for Replacement or Refund
Contact us within 7 days of delivery if your item arrives misprinted, damaged, or defective. We’ll coordinate a replacement or refund based on Printful’s resolution process.

Filament & Consumables
Filament is eligible for return only if the spool is unopened and unused. Once opened, filament cannot be returned. If your filament arrives damaged or incorrect, contact us within 7 days and include photos.
Shipping & Return Costs
- Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility unless we confirm the issue was our error.
- Original shipping fees are non-refundable.
- We do not accept returns without prior approval.
